Changes Coming for Nonprofits

Return to News Items April 9, 2006

In a recently released news bulletin, the Postal Service is now requiring that we provide your "USPS Nonprofit Authorization Number" on each postage statement.

This is not the ghost number you may be used to providing. This is new: it's the number located on the top right hand corner of the letter of nonprofit authorization you received from the USPS.

If by chance you've lost or misplaced the authorization, the Postal Service will send you a new one. You'll need to submit a written request on your organization's letterhead requesting a copy of your nonprofit authorization letter. The request must be signed by an officer of the organization. Once you've received the letter, be sure to fax us a copy to keep on file for you. If you have any questions about this, feel free to call us.
