Here's something to consider: 85 percent of people say they open, sort, and read selected pieces from their mail everyday.

  • 75 percent of consumers say they're looking at their mail more closely now for coupons and special offers that save them money.
  • 55 percent report receiving greater enjoyment from reading their regular mail versus an email advertisement. This includes the 18-39 age group.
  • Nearly 94 percent of consumers say they took action on promotional offers and coupons recived via direct mail over the past year.
  • Some 40 percent of consumers say they tried a new business after receiving a direct mail piece from that business.
  • 70 percent say they renewed a relationship with a business as a result of receiving direct mail inviting them back.
